Vietnam Veterans of America - Chapter 947

We are Veterans helping Veterans!
Our Mission
Fundrasing Activities
VVA Chapter 947 is located in Fort Madison, Iowa and serves Southeast Iowa, West
Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri's Veterans. We proudly received our charter on
02JULY2005. All veterans are welcome to participate in our organization. Vietnam and
Vietnam Era veterans may become full members, while others may join as associate
members.
We believe that it is our mission to provide assistance to area veterans. This assistance
may come in the form of financial support to help veterans get through a money crunch, by
providing holiday food baskets and by being there when a fellow vet needs someone to talk
with.
Our Veteran Service Officers are available to help veterans apply for Veterans
Administration benefits, including filing compensation & pension paperwork.
Our primary source of financial support comes from poppy sales at various times of the
year. Donations from area businesses also help us help veterans.
